My daughter is selling her house. We live in the in-law suite on the main floor so we will be moving too. We have all lived together for 10 years and it has been wonderful. My granddaughters are all grown up now and don't need a sitter and Christine's husband will be getting a job up north in a year so they decided to sell.
On Saturday, there were 5 appointments to view the house so we all went out. I took my dog and husband and we went to my mom's place for the day. We left the cats at home and told the realtors the cats could go in and out.
Well, we came home and found they had shut one of the older cats in my suite. He had peed on the bed and it was soaked. We had two comforters, a set of sheets and a mattress that were very wet.
Speaking of peeing, someone in the family (I won't say who) had a mishap when she went out for lunch.
It must have been very embarrassing, but I wouldn't know because it certainly wasn't me!

Dearest Belle,
Oh, These 10 years must have been SO precious for you and all of your family♡♡♡ You sure will miss them, won't you! Personally, I've never moved since I got married; there will be a lot of preparation to do. Hoping all will go smoothly from Japan, my dear friend in Canada☆☆☆
Haha, funny story about Peeing Mishaps p;)
Sending you lots of love and hugs from Japan, xoxo Miyako*
When I saw the title of this post, I had a feeling it would be hilarious, and you certainly didn't disappoint! How quickly did it get pointed out to the bathroom person what was hanging out?
So sorry about the cat pee incident- how gross! I hope it all came out~
There might be some legal consequences for making people laugh this hard. We might rupture something.
Not too funny about the cat pee however. Yikes!
Moving has its good and bad points. Are you planning to stay with your daughter or are you and your hubby striking out on your own?
I love the smell of cat pee in the morning! (LOL) Hello, dear Belle! Well, you can't blame that old cat for what he did. He had nowhere else to go. My 13 year old dog Toto has many accidents in the house. Years ago in Pennsylvania I let a stray cat come in for the night to escape winter's cold and the next morning I discovered that he had used my prized golden globe cactus as a scratching post, breaking some of its spines and leaving his fur tangled in others. I had to throw it away!
That toilet paper mishap must be common among women because I remember our friend Shelly reporting a similar incident on her blog.
Where will you be moving? May I suggest hot, steamy, buggy, snake infested Florida? (LOL)
Have a safe and happy week, dear friend Belle!
Moving, never exciting for me!
Poor Kitty, and poor you with that mess. The tp lady has been me before, but it was long enough ago that I can laugh (a little) about it.
I will look forward to hearing more about the move.
Great cartoon Belle! I will return with a link to a story relating to a similar embarrassing incident. I'm sorry about your bed and I am sure the cat hated to do it (seriously).
Miyako- I think it would be lovely to live in the same place for so many years. I have moved around a lot since I was a child.
I will miss my family very much. It will be hard not seeing them every day, but life changes and we have to change with it. I am so grateful for all the years we had together. I am also hoping the move will go smoothly.
Shelly - Actually, it was me but I was too embarrassed to say it on the front page of the blog! My sister noticed it when we got to our mom's place! Luckily, I had a long sweater on when I left the restaurant. But still...
Granny- I'm glad you found it funny. I was laughing too.
Betty- My husband, sister Liz and I will be renting a house, apartment or a home in a trailer park. We are relying on God to show us where to go.
Shady- No, I don't blame the cat. I think he was pretty mad by the time we got home. He must have wondered what the heck was going on! I'm sorry about your cactus. Who would think a cat would like one?
We will be staying in Kelowna. I'm afraid I could never live in Florida because of the humidity. I was there one summer and the weather was hard to take! I know the winters are wonderful though.
Claudia- Moving is a pain, especially when you are as old as me! We will just do the best we can and maybe hire some strong young men to help.
Jeanie- I'm glad I'm not alone with the toilet paper!
Pat- Thanks! Yes, I'm sure the cat was very upset and just did what he had to do. I'll look forward to the link.
No, not cat pee! That stuff lingers forever.
Have you already picked a new place to stay?
Best of luck looking for the perfect place Belle. Sometimes mistakes happen to the best of us when peeing, I'm no saint, in fact I accidentally missed and hit the floor in work today haha, obviously I cleaned up though!
Cat pee...is that the worst smell ever? Ive slept in a house that had hundreds of mice living in it, scurrying about all night (including OVER me) and I'd rather spend another night there than suffer that smell of cat pee in my bed. I feel for you Belle.
I cracked up when I read the title of your post. I hate peeing mishaps! There have quite a few at my pad. LOL!
Alex- I've recently been told that about cat pee! No, we don't know where we will live. In the same city, but we will wait for the house to sell before we look for a place to rent.
Matthew- That is so funny!
Tempo- Wow! I'm sorry but I prefer cat pee to mice running over me!
Sherry- Yes, with little boys I imagine there are.
I did that once at Macy's!!!!!!!!
And that is a lot of work when an animal pees on the bed!!!!!!!!!!!
And so you are moving - are you going to get your own place - or move with them again????
Love, sandie
... hehehe... when I read the title, I wasn't expecting a story about cats ... but poor thing, getting locked in! Once, when I moved, I got all in a panic because I thought that my cats had been frightened away and got lost in the woods, but it turned out they'd just hid under the bed. Moving is a pain, but you'll be able to decorate a house from scratch, won't that be fun? :)
