These are wonderful pics and captions, Belle. They remind me of the photos my father used to take. Dad loved being outdoors and enjoyed taking hikes in the wilderness. He always had his camera along in case he spotted a fungus on the ground or growing on the trunk of a tree. His slide shows included many detailed close-ups of fungi, tree bark, leaves, flowers, rocks, insects and animals. Have a super Tuesday, dear friend Belle!

Great captions for the pics. There should be a nicer sounding word than "fungus" to describe these creations of nature.

Third one is good! The fungus is among us.

This made me laugh so much Belle, fungi are so bizarre, it's amazing and interesting the way that they form in my opinion, great work.

Thanks everyone! When I am in the woods I always notice the fungus. They are so interesting looking.

Shady- I understand why your father did that. I have pictures of mushrooms and such myself.

Hi Belle. Something really original post for us today. I loved the little captions to go with the funghi pictures. Very funny!

I spent many an hour as a small child pretending to be a tiny elf frolicking under the mushrooms. Fun post Belle!
