First Date.

My granddaughter Hope is having her first date Friday night. She is 15 and 8 months old now. They are going to play Wii at our home Friday night. Hope has asked us to, "try to act normal" but we aren't too sure what that is. We will do our best!

Here is the newest picture of Hope. Faith and her were goofing around with the camera so it isn't too sharp.

Her mom Christine is going to make sure the house is spotless. I'll help her. Hope says she is so nervous and upset she doesn't think dating is worth it. I might agree with that; I remember how nervous I was when I dated. My hands always sweat, I couldn't think of anything interesting to say and I worried about how I looked all evening.

I like how my hubby and I started dating. It was different than any other relationship I'd been in because we were friends first. My cousin Bonnie knew Dan and introduced us. The three of us went to church and Bible studies together. I felt relaxed around him because it never occurred to me we would date. By the time we were dating all the nervous feelings were gone. We were married three months later!

Our wedding day at his mom's house. The photo is in terrible shape as we had a little Instamatic camera.

It was a happy day!

My Newest Invention.

You know when you keep burning the bottom of your frying pan so it gets all warped?

No?

Well, I found a way to make the pan lay flatter on the stove for those cooks who are like me.

See, I used an empty can of peaches to hold the handle up so it isn't so tilted!
Maybe I should patent this idea.

By the way, this is my hubby's breakfast. We don't pay any attention to health rules, and anyway, they found out eggs are good for you and don't make a bit of difference in your cholesterol levels. Scientists drive me crazy. Now, eggs are good.

I always get free-run. Notice how orange the yolks are? They taste so much better than regular eggs. I know I've said this before, but it's my blog and I can repeat myself! :)
