The Cranky Bird Watcher.

Christine and I went to a different bird sanctuary Sunday. It was beautiful and full of mallard ducks.

We also saw some Canada Geese.

We walked all around the pond but those were the only birds we saw. When I was a little girl I used to pretend I was Hansel lost in the woods with her brother. This little trail reminded me of that story.

Christine has the patience of a flea and said, (you may add swear words if you wish) "I just want to see an unusual bird sitting on a fence. Is that too much to ask?" I guess not, because right after that we saw an unusual bird sitting on a fence.

It turned out to be a red tailed hawk. It looked wonderful through the binoculars with its red breast. We were very excited and happy to see such a magnificent bird.

"Unusual" is code for a bad word.

Saturday Night at Home.

Cherish and Faith are carving pumpkins.

Hope says she is too old for that.

Christine and I watch Superman Returns. Christine says, "It's been an hour and a half and only two things have happened. This movie is so boring."

I say, "It is slow but romantic. I've cried twice."

She says, "There has been a total of three conversations in this movie."

I say, "Shut up and let me enjoy looking at Superman's face."

Cherish says, "I told you it was boring. And I hate his costume; it's aquamarine instead of blue."

I say, "You're right. I hate the color and the whole costume. They really screwed up."

Christine says, "All he does is fly around and look sad."

We finished the movie hoping for a kiss with Lois but NO KISS. I could have gone to bed an hour ago!

Okay, Back to the Pumpkins:

They're done!

They look fantastic!

Happy Halloween!
