First of all, I want to congratulate the Boston Bruins on winning the Stanley Cup in hockey. They played a great game. I also want to thank the Vancouver Canucks for playing all the way to the very last game. You gave us a great year. I'm sure 2012 will be our year to win!
The post below is about religion, so if you are offended by God, then you can stop reading. I'm not trying to preach, I just love to watch Faith's brain work.
I said, "Well, if everyone on earth, no matter how evil they were, went to heaven then it wouldn't be heaven. It would just be earth moved up there. There would still be killing and wars. Besides, they wouldn't be happy there. Can you imagine Hitler being happy in heaven?"
Me: "But he couldn't do all the awful things he wants to do in heaven. He would be angry and bored."
Faith: "What if he was sorry for all the bad he did?"
Me: "Then he could go to heaven."
Faith: "But God shouldn't blame Hitler; he was crazy, so he couldn't help himself."
Me: "What makes you think he was crazy?"
Faith: "Well, he wanted to make a race of blue-eyed, blond-haired people and he had brown eyes and brown hair. So, he must have been crazy."
She had a good point. Although I am sure Hitler made so many bad choices all his life he just finally ended up crazy. I'm not sure if he started out that way. But I admire Faith's heart of love and forgiveness. I will say that for myself, I trust the judge of all things to do what is right.
