The Dirt that Moved.

I needed to wash my laundry room floor yesterday, so I filled the mop bucket and proceeded to start sweeping. There was a pile of dirt and I couldn't figure out where it came from. So, I'm looking at it and notice it seems to be moving! I look closer and see it is hundreds of teeny, tiny ants that are having a celebration of sorts in my recycling box which is full of pop cans.

I put the cans in a bag and stared at the ants who were quite upset with me. To them, I was like the drunk party crasher who ruins everything. I hated to do it, but I had to kill them. Poor little creatures.

I was in there this morning and saw two little ants who were either late-comers or were looking for their lost friends. I decided to spare them since I didn't think they could take over the house like the other ones. Here they are: Bert and Ernie.

When I came home from Nevada our plum tree was in blossom.

After I took the pic of the tree I noticed Maggie. She likes to lay with her head all jammmed in the corner of the swing. It sure looks uncomfortable, but I guess she is happy.
