I thought I would give my friends an update on my daughter, Christine, who was being tested to donate a kidney to her brother-in-law. There are two big developments:1. The results came back from Vancouver that she is a match and his anti-bodies did not reject hers. However, she is not a perfect match.
2. The brother-in-law's uncle voluteered to be tested! His blood is type A and should be a closer match than Christine's. They are speeding up the tests to find out right now.
I'm very grateful the uncle has decided to be tested. I don't know the family at all so it could be he just now heard about it. I can't help being selfish and hoping Christine won't have to donate after all. It will be hard on her body and she isn't the strongest person.
