A to Z Blogging Challenge.

The letter today is L.

Leaving is the word.

As John Denver sang,"I'm leaving on a jet plane..." on Saturday! I'm going to Nevada to visit my two sisters.

I am leaving:

1. Piles of laundry.

I do laundry for the 7 family members who live in this house. It will be 8 when Cherish comes back from college. I will not miss the dozens of loads I do each week. I will not miss hearing the little jingle when the clothes are dry. I will not miss finding stains after I have washed and dried something.

2. A cold spring.

I am going to Nevada which is HOT! Yippee!

3. Cooking.

I don't cook when I go to Nevada. I buy ready made stuff because I hate cooking. It feels like a waste of my valuable time. I need that time to go to the casino and lose money, play Word Whomp on the computer for two hours and then play poker for six hours. Cooking time cuts into that.

4. Cleaning the gerbil cage I live in.

Sorry, but I don't get all excited about cleaning house. It turns my brain to mush. I do it every day; the same thing every day. I need a change. I'll help clean my sister's house instead. At least I'll be dusting something different.

I don't like cooking, cleaning or laundry, yet I've been a housewife since I was 18. I only stick around for hubby and the kids!

5. The gym.

I've been going to the gym with my daughter Sandy for the past month. I will not miss the gym, but I will miss how much better I feel since I started going. Also, when I get back I will have lost some serious muscle! I'm not sure if I can force myself to do it, but I am going to try and take long walks in the desert when I'm gone. I'll take a big stick along to hit the rattlesnakes if they bother me.

I'm also leaving my hubby this time and that is a bad thing. I'm going with my mom, which is a good thing, although we do tend to get into trouble at airports. Hopefully, all will go well. This time, whatever my mom tells me to do, I will do the opposite. I think that strategy will work.
