Rah, Rah! Go Team Go!
It is weird what you do when you retire. You do stuff you would never have had the time or interest for when you were out there working. My sisters in Nevada are both retired so they took up sports betting.
My oldest sister, Chloe, has never been interested in sports. She loved movies, Elvis, and books; but never sports. Well, she has now joined Fantasy Football and all of a sudden she's telling me, "My quarter-back is injured, my wide reciever pulled a hamstring, and my running back has turf-toe. I'm at a loss. I don't know what to do!"
Actually, she's doing pretty good. She was #1 in her league last time I talked with her. She knows the teams, the players and watches the games. She loves it and I'm really happy for her.
My youngest sister, Liz, has always been interested in sports. She first started betting on golf and won a bit, but now she is into baseball and football. Hockey has always been her favorite sport and I guess she'll be betting on that too.
Liz has an amazing mind for odds and numbers. When Mom and I play poker with her, if someone fills an inside straight and we say, "What are the odds of that?" Liz will tell us. She knows the odds for every hand. She would love to teach me, but numbers and math make me feel like crying so there is no point.
Anyway, I'm happy for my sisters that they have an exciting new hobby. I wish them lots of luck. My new hobby is blogging. Because I am a nosy person and love reading about people's lives, I am enjoying it too.
Got Toothpaste?
Last time I went to visit my sisters in Nevada I forgot to bring my toothpaste. I went in the bathroom to use some of theirs. I got it out of the cupboard, but the tube looked kind of different. I peered at the writing and it said, "Poultry Flavor." I took it and showed it to Liz and asked, "What kind of toothpaste is this?"
"The kind my dog uses," she answered.
I'm very glad I didn't brush my teeth with it. I might never have eaten chicken again.
Blue's Coloured Thursdays
Blue's Coloured Thursdays is brought to you by: http://bluescolouredthursdays.blogspot.com
The colour this week is Baby Pink.
This is my first born daughter, Sandy. She was dressed in baby pink to go to church that day.

This is my second daughter, Christine. I used baby pink as a background to her pictures.

This is Christine's oldest daughter, Cherish, holding Hope, her second daughter. Cherish is wearing her mommy's wedding gown. Cherish loved to dress up in Christine's prom dress too. I like the baby pink flower.
