Take it Easy Cherish

Photo: Cherish with her roommate in her first apartment.

It was 9:00pm the night before Cherish, my granddaughter, was to leave for college in Victoria, BC. Christine, her mom, went to Cherish's room and found her playing "Headbands" with her sisters.

"Have you packed everything Cherish?" she asked.

"No, I haven't packed yet. I'm not sure what I want to take with me."
(Cherish is as laid-back as you can get and be drug-free)

"Cherish, you have to get ready. Your father is packing the car," said Christine.
(Christine couldn't relax unless you stunned her with a tranquilizer dart)

"Oh," Cherish replied, "I did pack one box."

"Good."

Cherish handed her a small box filled with CDs.

Christine came and told me and we had a chuckle together about how Cherish never sweats anything. She did eventually get packed up and made it to Victoria, where she is very happy. She loves her college, and loves the city.
